The investigations, the notices of indictment and rumors of new trials ahead brought about a kind of political examination inside the Pdl. “Silvio Berlusconi and Gianfranco Fini are far both from peace and ceasefire”, they say to Il Foglio. Nevertheless Berlusconi received unequivocal signals, while everyone's waiting for new trials coming – whether they're actually coming or not –: stop quarrelling with Fini. Berlusconi met the moderates Andrea Augello and Silvano Moffa on Wednesday and yesterday afternoon he hosted a meeting with the former “colonels” Maurizio Gasparri, Ignazio La Russa, Gianni Alemanno and Altero Matteoli. Main topic: what to do with Gianfranco Fini. Denis Verdini, Sandro Bondi and Angelino Alfano – all former chairmen of Forza Italia – joined the summit, although they were there due to other matters.
