Fratoianni and Bonelli wanted to abolish environmentally harmful subsidies. Now they want to introduce a new one worth at least 5.5 billion euros a year: 2,000 kWh of free electricity for 84 per cent of households

The disparity between regions regarding renewable energy represents one of the most complex tests for a coalition seeking to govern the country. It will be interesting to see whether the measures proposed by the parties that describe themselves as progressive will provide adequate solutions

The leader of the Five Star Movement, speaking on the ‘one is worth one’ principle, brings up rearmament: “‘One is worth one’ means that what counts are the citizens who say ‘enough’ to this military escalation”. The green wing of AVS is the most critical: an incorrect statement, “listen to the arguments”. Renzi, speaking at the Leopolda, defends Schlein: “I agree with her from A to Z”

The leader of the Green Left Alliance sends a message to the wider coalition: “On 18 October, we will present our proposals. No to primaries. The manifesto? We’re ready; we need to speed things up. The leaders of the PD and M5S should tell us when they want to sit down at the table. Schlein? Her letter to Meloni was misguided.”

According to the president of the M5S, “the conditions are not in place to work with the Prime Minister: she should step down and let us get on with our work”. Meanwhile, the leader of AVS adds: “It is a mistake to collaborate with those who have brought Italians to their knees”.

“Salis and Renzi? Within a clear framework, their contribution is also welcome,” says the leader of Avs, who reiterates: “The programme comes first; it would be better to avoid campaign stalls”

The Green Party leader in Avs says: “No, Kyiv will not win the war. The Jobs Act needs reviewing; yes to a wealth tax on billionaires”
