The opposition is finding new vigour in the battle over the electoral law, which is making people forget the issues surrounding policy and leadership. 100 initiatives are already planned to explain the "risks of the Melonellum. More dangerous than the separation of careers".

The Movement’s vice-president, a close ally of Conte: “Regardless of the voting system, we must decide well in advance who will lead the opposition. We already have a policy framework. Between the electoral law and regional autonomy, an unacceptable trade-off has been made at the expense of the Italian people.”
