The decision by CONI’s National Executive Committee is the best way to resolve a situation in which Italian sport should never have found itself. Was it really necessary to make such a fuss? No, it wasn’t, given that in the end it was concluded that Malagò was the victim and not the culprit.

The team coached by Roberto Mancini won 3–1 against the Turkish national side. It was a rather scrappy match, but one in which the Italian players’ determination to win was evident. Compared with the recent past, this is a new development

To keep the team competitive, particularly in a season without the Champions League, the Juventus board of directors has decided to submit a proposal to the November shareholders’ meeting authorising a capital increase of up to 250 million euros. This is the fifth capital increase since the 2019/2020 financial year.

Manager Roberto Mancini’s team played as a unit and, for at least fifty minutes (not consecutive), performed very well. The question is: is it all down to the Azzurri, or is this Turkish side simply a modest one that was poorly organised on the pitch?

The manager has decided that it is time to start trusting those he had deemed worthy of the Azzurri shirt. Against Turkey, Italy are looking for the enthusiasm and desire to play that they have been lacking for years.

The unexpected departure following the victory over Genoa brings the Spaniard’s time in Serie A to an end. Last year, he secured the club’s survival with four matches to spare and won over Parma with his humanity and technical expertise.
