The statistics office has published its quarterly updates on gross domestic product: there was no change in national output between the second and third quarters (short-term data). On a year-on-year basis – the third quarter of 2026 compared with the third quarter of 2025 – growth stands at 0.8 per cent. Istat confirms that this will also be the growth figure for the year as a whole.
