Futuro Nazionale is the party that has lost the most votes over the last two weeks. According to the latest YouTrend poll for Agi, the party founded by former general Roberto Vannacci has fallen by 0.5 per cent since the start of October, dropping to 7.2 per cent. An early sign had already emerged from the SWG poll for La7 on 28 September, in which, for the first time, Futuro Nazionale had not grown but had remained stable at 8 per cent. And so, two weeks later, Vannacci finds himself overtaken by Forza Italia which, whilst remaining stable at 7.4 per cent, has regained its position as the country’s fourth-largest political force.
However, according to YouTrend, the entire governing coalition has emerged stronger: Fratelli d’Italia gains 0.4 per cent, rising to 27.2 per cent, while the Lega and Noi Moderati also see growth, reaching 6 per cent (+0.3) and 1.2 per cent (+0.1) respectively. In the wider political spectrum, however, the only party not to suffer a decline is the Green-Left Alliance, which rises by 0.1 per cent to 6.4 per cent. The Democratic Party, in fact, loses 0.3 per cent and falls to 20.1 per cent, widening the gap with FdI to more than 7 percentage points, whilst the Five Star Movement drops to 12.4 per cent (-0.4).
Among the centrist parties, however, it is worth noting the rise of Italia Viva, which has climbed to 2.4 per cent (+0.2), and that of Luigi Marattin’s Liberal Democratic Party, which has gained 0.1 per cent to reach 1.4 per cent. Azione and PiùEuropa remain stable at 3.2 per cent and 1.7 per cent respectively.
