The movement does not have a clear stance on EU accession, but its campaigns could make Serbia more European and mark a turning point in the (troubled) relations between Belgrade and Brussels

A female student from the movement describes a generation that does not want to leave the country and has set aside ideologies for an ‘existential reason’. The students are fighting against corruption, for democracy and the rule of law. Discussions on foreign policy and the EU are put on hold, in a country where ‘being pro-European doesn’t pay’, says political scientist Nikola Burazer.

The French ruling offers Europe an opportunity to envisage a different strategy. An alternative already exists: “The aim is not to exclude children and young people from the digital society, but to equip them with the tools to participate in it more safely,” says the head of digital development at the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs in Estonia

First Edouard Philippe, then Raphaël Glucksmann, and finally Gabriel Attal have been the targets of disinformation campaigns orchestrated by pro-Russian networks. France is one of the European countries most affected by such campaigns and, at the same time, best equipped to counter them; however, an increase in these threats is anticipated ahead of the 2027 presidential elections (threats which have already become a subject of political contention)
