Ornella’s feelings of guilt in "Un posto al sole"

In an unexpected turn, possibly driven by guilt, Ornella grows closer to Raffaele once more, engaging in behaviours she had never previously exhibited, albeit actions considered natural for a couple. Tensions escalate between Marina and Greta: consumed by jealousy, Marina hurls a bucket of dirty water at the latter. Roberto, upon witnessing the altercation, rushes into the courtyard and apologises to his ex for his wife’s behaviour. Surprisingly, rather than demanding solidarity from her partner, Marina even goes so far as to feign reconciliation.

There is still a great deal of coldness between the two, but in the end, Marina is right and her concerns are not mere obsessions. Roberto continues to think about Greta, so much so that he buys her a shirt similar to the one Marina had wet. Naturally, he takes it to her home, and the reconciliation between the two is a reality.
