A Place in the Sun: Gimmy’s repentance is not enough

Gimmy realises he was wrong to treat his grandfather badly and tells his parents he is ready to apologise. But that isn’t enough for them, and they suggest he see a psychologist. The boy takes it very badly, and his situation gets worse. Alberto seems almost to have got over the pain he caused his son; he is more concerned about Anna’s distress. Gianluca, however, is in a state of considerable distress. Meanwhile, Rossella has departed for the conference, but the fact that Nunzio is travelling with her—rather than reassuring her—appears to complicate the trip and distract her from her professional objectives. It is by no means certain that this story will end well, just as with Ornella’s, who has now gone off on a tangent with her new friend. (a.d.)
