A Place in the Sun: a father’s duties towards his children

Alberto goes to see Giulia and Luca and tells them the whole story about him and Anna. Luca is rightly angry and explains to him in no uncertain terms how a father ought to behave. He sacrifices love, himself, everything, for the sake of his son. Alberto Palladini, however, remains true to form. At that point, Giulia calls Rossella and together they devise a strategy to try and break the bad news to Gianluca and tell him what his father has done to him, as gently as possible. But they don’t know that, in the meantime, he has already found out everything. Meanwhile, Roberto finds a new journalist for the radio station, without saying a word to Michele, who is the director. At this point, Michele is absolutely furious and feels he can no longer fulfil that role. (a.d.)
