The trial of the former ice-cream vendor, accused of slander against Giletti, has been transformed by the public prosecutor’s office into yet another Mafia trial against Berlusconi and Dell’Utri, and is becoming increasingly mysterious from the point of view of procedural regularity.

In its eagerness to turn the defamation case against Baiardo into a mafia trial against Silvio Berlusconi and Marcello Dell’Utri, the Florence Public Prosecutor’s Office forgot to include in the case file the statements of the prosecution’s key witness: Giuseppe Graviano

The former Mafia boss who pressed the button that triggered the Capaci massacre is due to appear as a witness at the court in Florence in the trial against Baiardo. However, he will be speaking on a subject regarding which his statements have already been deemed unreliable by the judges, namely the alleged links between Dell’Utri, Silvio Berlusconi and Cosa Nostra.
