The PD and M5S have tabled proposals to offer public funding to women under 38 who wish to undergo treatment to increase their chances of having children. Renzi has taken up the proposal and suggested allocating 100 million in the Budget Bill. Forza Italia and the League are open to the idea, but Giorgia Meloni’s party has put the brakes on: “Children should be had whilst young; let’s use the resources to help young couples create the conditions to have children.”
